Rodney Equi

Presiding Judge, DuPage County
On March 1, 2001 the Chicago Tribune reported an interview with Judge Rodney Equi, Presiding Judge of the Domestic Relations (Divorce) Division of the Circuit Court of DuPage County.

Judge Equi was reported to have said that, in meetings with members of the DuPage County Bar Association, it was decided to turn the court into one giant divorce court for one week.

Judge Equi, the courts do not belong to the DuPage County Bar Association. Contrary to the practice in DuPage County, the courts belong to the people of DuPage County.

Was there some ulterior motive that you did not disclose to the reporter from the Chicago Tribune? As you should know, any attempt to deceive, whether by commission, by omission, by silence, etc. is fraud by an officer of the court, whether judge or attorney.  Was there some specific reason that the members of the DuPage County Bar Association needed a good source of billable hours at this specific time? Remember, silence is considered fraud.

Was this windfall source of billable hours for a political reason? Who are the people from DuPage County supporting with their "contributions"? Did they willingly intend to support this politician, or are they being forced to support someone whom they have no intention to support?

The people of DuPage County are awaiting your answer.
