Dear Mr. Grogan:
I am writing in response to a letter dated October 29, 1997 I received last Friday morning from John R. Cesario.
The Rules of Professional Conduct and the law of the State of Illinois apply to all Illinois licensed attorneys, including ARDC attorneys.
As you may recall, at a presentation you made before the Ethical Humanist Society about a year ago, I inquired from you about who will hear a complaint filed against an ARDC attorney. It would be a conflict of interest for any member of the ARDC to hear a complaint against another member of the ARDC. In response to my inquiry, you walked away from me.
I intend to file a complaint against Mr. Cesario for his engaging in conduct in violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct by his conniving with, and assisting, another attorney in violation of the Rules.
Perhaps we should first meet before I file and publish my complaint on the internet for the public to see how certain attorneys of the ARDC assist and participate in attorney misconduct.
I will call your office in a few days to schedule a meeting.
Yours truly,
Eugene Alpern
