Glen Kaufman
Cook County, Illinois
Attorney Glen Kaufman was convicted of battery. He appealed his conviction and the conviction was confirmed.

A copy of the appellate order can be found at Order.

A copy of the States Attorney's Brief and Argument can be found here.

At all pertinent times, there was in effect Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct 8.3  and 8.4.

As an attorney and/or a judge has an individual, mandatory, and absolute duty to report the suspected, alleged, possible, and/or actual misconduct of another attorney or judge to the ARDC, did Justices Tully, Cohen and McBride, and attorneys Richard A. Devine, Renee Goldfarb, and Annette Collins comply with their duty to report attorney Glen Kaufman to the ARDC?

In addition, why did the Justices, in their Summary Order, not include the fact that attorney Glen Kaufman repeatedly used the f___ word against the victim? Were they trying to protect the "reputation" of another attorney?
