CLR has received several charges of misconduct of attorney Jeffery M. Leving and/or Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd.

Are they really Father's Rights Attorneys? or do they falsely represent themselves as such?

What do his former clients say about the Father's Rights actions by Leving? Are they pleased?

In addition, has any person had any experience with attorney Jeffery M. Leving, or Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. or their attorneys, abandoning a case for which they were employed?  Recently CLR has received additional notices concerning Leving abandoning their clients.

Recently, the Illinois First District Appellate Court stated that "While the allegations of attorney misconduct against the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd., are deeply disturbing, they must be addressed in the substantive determination of the trial court, and if substantiated, would warrant disciplinary action by the appropriate regulatory entity as well. Such practices are wholly unworthy of attorneys and would only serve to deepen the already profound well of cynicism with which the public views the legal profession."

CLR continues to get reports on the attorneys of Jeffrey M. Leving, Ltd. abandoning their clients, improper billing practices, making misrepresentations to the court and/or the client, and engaging in misconduct. When an attorney makes a misrepresentation to the court, the judge may lose jurisdiction if a statute is violated. The divorcing parties are billed for services for which they may not obtain a valid divorce.

If attorney Jeffery M. Leving and/or Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. was your attorney and you believe that he has engaged in misconduct in your case, or if you would not recommend Mr. Leving or his associated attorneys, as an attorney, please let CLR know.

CLR has been informed that attorney Timothy S. O'Grady was terminated for cause by his client. To view Notice of Termination, click here.
