PETER NAKOSKI JR.
District Justice

The following email was received on January 8, 2001 from District Justice Peter Nakoski, Jr. Click here to read his email.

Isn't threatening any person with legal action an unethical action? Isn't violating some person's Constitutional Right an unethical action?

Have you not brought disrepute to the legal/judicial business?

Do you not believe that the local NAACP may believe that you have brought disrepute to the legal/judicial business by the following statement attributable to you, according to the Erie Times, October 21, 1999 edition: "Yes, it is unlawful to be a black man. They're all in jail. They are the ones doing all the burglaries and robberies."

On January 11, 2001 CLR received a second email threatening CLR with legal action for its posting that charges of misconduct had been filed against Peter Paul Nakoski, Jr. According to the order issued in your disciplinary hearing before the COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA COURT OF JUDICIAL DISCIPLINE, case no. 4 JD 98, the Judicial Conduct Board filed a Complaint with the Court of Judicial Discipline against District Justice Peter Paul Nakoski, Jr. The truth is that charges of misconduct were filed against you.

Mr. Nakoski, we will not accept being threatened by you for reporting the truth.

NOTE to all persons who have or had any contact with Peter Paul Nakoski, Jr., either in or out of court. If you believe that he has engaged in any action that could bring disrepute to the legal/judicial business, please contact Citizens
