CLR understands that fraud, by any officer of the court, is any attempt to deceive, whether by commission, by omission, by silence, by gesture, by innuendo, and occurs at any time and whether in or out of court.
Schiff & Shelton ignores what it does not want to hear, that the lists of attorneys include those who have been charged with misconduct from any source, "or who have engaged in conduct which tends to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts and the legal business into disrepute, etc.", as stated on the California web-page.
Schiff & Shelton has failed to inform CLR that they are named in a Complaint filed in the IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT, CENTRAL DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA ANA, a copy of which can be viewed at Complaint [in pdf format].
Since courts have held that the names, addresses, and phone numbers of former and current clients are considered to be business records, and therefore are not protected by client-attorney privilege, CLR is requesting that Schill & Shelton please provide us with a full and complete list of all of their former and current clients. CLR intends to contact these clients to determine if they honestly believe that Schiff & Sheldon and/or their attorneys have not engaged in any conduct which tends to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts and the legal business into disrepute, or who believe that Schiff & Shelton and/or their attorneys have engaged in misconduct.
In the meantime, CLR will email to its California viewers for their views on Schiff & Sheldon and/or their attorneys, and will post their replies on this web-page.
In the opinion of CLR, Schiff & Sheldon and/or their attorneys have engaged in fraud, and have used the U.S. mails in furtherance of their scheme. It is the opinion of the public whether Schiff & Sheldon and/or their attorneys have engaged in any conduct which tends to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts and the legal business into disrepute, not what Schiff & Sheldon and/or their attorneys believe they have or have not engaged in.
