[Editor]  It is a holding from the U.S. Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals that a court must instruct an non-represented litigant of what he or she has to do to present a meritorious action before the Federal Court.

In the following letter Mr. Alpern reminds Judge Jack B. Schmetterer that the judge gave him incorrect information and requested correct information.  At no time has Judge Schmetterer complied with the law, therefore depriving Mr. Alpern of his legal rights.

                      In re Eugene Alpern

In court yesterday, there was a discussion on Illinois taxes in relationship to this case. When I informed the court that I had not received any communications from FISHER relative to the Illinois taxes, your Honor told me to get copies of all correspondence between FISHER and the Illinois Department of Revenue from the Court file.

After the court hearing, I went to the 7th floor Bankruptcy Records office and inspected the 93-B-7843 file. There are no records in the file relative to the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Please advise this layman where I can timely find all records of correspondence of case no. 93-B-7643 with the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Yours truly,

Eugene W. Alpern
