Timothy Q. Sheldon

Judge, Kane County, Illinois

Recently the Second District Appellate Court found that Judge Timothy Q. Sheldon of the Circuit Court for the 16th Judicial Circuit, Kane County, Illinois, was incorrect in applying the law in the area of Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices.

Supreme Court Rule 62(A) holds that a judge should respect the law. How can Judge Timothy Q. Sheldon respect the law if he does not understand the law.

Judge Sheldon has been transferred from the Civil Division to the Criminal Division. Will Judge Sheldon know what the law is in Criminal Courts? or will he continue to rule contrary to law?
