NOTICE OF SUSPENSION WITH CONDITIONS
Case No. 98-158-MZ
C. Barry Wetherington, P-26516, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board modifying Tri-County Hearing Panel #66's Order of Suspension with Conditions.
1) Suspension - 30 Days;
2) Effective June 30, 1999.
On October 17, 1997, the panel entered an Order of Reprimand with Conditions in Case Nos. 97-181-GA; 97-201-FA, which became effective on November 8, 1997. On August 12, 1998, the Grievance Administrator filed a Petition for Order to Show Cause alleging that respondent had failed to comply with the panel's order. Respondent admitted that he had not fully complied with the Order of Reprimand with Conditions. The panel ordered that respondent be suspended from the practice of law for a period of 30 days, subject to extensive conditions relevant to the established misconduct for a period of two years.
Respondent filed a petition for review challenging the conditions imposed by the panel. In an order issued April 23, 1999, the Attorney Discipline Board vacated one of the conditions and otherwise affirmed the panel's order.
Respondent filed a motion for consideration further challenging
the conditions, which was denied by the Board in an order entered June
8, 1999. Costs were assessed in the total amount of $271.16.
