Dear Mr. Burns:

Re:  The Bribery of a Judge

This letter is to inform you of a current instance of the bribery of a judge. The judge was offered and he accepted bribes valued in excess of $6700.

In this particular instance, it appears that the bribers were so confident that the judge would fully support them, that they even filed evidence of their bribes before the judge in the case. The evidence is so extensive that it is impractical to enclose full documentation with this notice, as it consists of scores of pages, all filed in court and made a part of the record of this case, unless they have been unlawfully removed from the court record to protect the bribers and the bribee.

The court record will provide proof of the bribe. We believe the bribers were so certain of their control that they asked the judge that they be personally reimbursed by charging an innocent third party for the bribes.

A copy of one of the latest motions charging the judge with taking bribes is enclosed. According to the practice of the court, the judge who accepted the bribes has to rule on whether he accepted said bribes. What possible chance is there that the bribed judge will rule that he accepted the bribes?

If bribery is allowed in even one case, then no person can be certain that he can obtain justice from any judge.

Yours truly,
