Citizens maintains a database on Illinois attorneys, law firms and judges that have been disciplined, incarcerated, removed from the roll of attorneys or judges, sued for legal malpractice, been charged with professional misconduct, have engaged in conduct which tends to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts and the legal business into disrepute, etc. Currently the database contains over 12,000 entries. New names are constantly being added, sometimes daily.

Before employing an attorney, we recommend that you check that attorney's name against our list. If your attorney has previously acted contrary to law or has acted contrary to the interests of his/her client, it could affect your consideration of employing that attorney or law firm.

It is your money and your property that you should protect.

Since this database frequently changes daily, a current copy is printed just prior to Citizens' monthly meeting, and is made available for review only by current members at that meeting.
