Re: Judge Michael Galasso
Dear Justice Freeman:
We hear rumors that Judge Michael Galasso may be appointed to fill the vacancy created by the recent appointment of Justice Rathje to the Illinois Supreme Court.
Judge Galasso has been investigated by our organization and reports on his misconduct, and/or his connivance with the misconduct of other judges, will soon be published.
We believe that the public will agree that a judge involved in misconduct should not be appointed to a higher judicial office. We believe that the Supreme Court has the duty to monitor all judges actions and should know of the misconduct of all judges, even before its publication.
We submit that the appointment of Judge Galasso to the Appellate Court would place the Illinois judiciary in disrepute with the public.
We thank you for allowing us to provide this information to the Court.
Yours truly,
