Is it true that Justice James D. Heiple claims that the State of Illinois should pay for attorney James Thompson's legal fees?
It was reported in the August 26, 1997 issue of the Chicago Sun-Times that the legal fees were in the six figures.
Did attorney James "Jim" Thompson and the law firm of Winston and Strawn ever bill Judge Heiple for the legal fees incurred by the Judge?
If Judge Heiple was not billed for his legal fees, did Winston &
Strawn report the "gift" on their income tax report? Did Judge Heiple pay
income tax on the "gift" he received from attorney James Thompson and Winston
& Strawn?
Will Justice James D. Heiple also ask the State of Illinois
