Citizens has been informed that:
On November, 25, 1997 Judge Veronica B. Mathein held a secret, ex-parte hearing, without notice to all of the parties. Before the court appeared a person who is prohibited by the Illinois Supreme Court to practice law in the State of Illinois. Judge Veronica B. Mathein allowed the person to appear and file an unlawful motion before the court. Judge Veronica B. Mathein engaged in, and aided and abetted the unlawful practice of law. Judge Veronica B. Mathein issued a void order based on the arguments of the person who was prohibited from practicing law.
Judge Veronica B. Mathein engaged in unlawful and unethical activity.
On March 10, 1998 Judge Veronica B. Mathein again held a secret, ex-parte hearing. Attorney Theodora Gordon appeared before Judge Veronica B. Mathein without notice to the other party. As is her custom, Judge Veronica B. Mathein issued a void order. Without lawful authority, and in violation of due process, Judge Veronica B. Mathein issued another void order.
Judge Veronica B. Mathein knows that an order issued without notice is void.
Judge Veronica B. Mathein engaged in unlawful and unethical activity.
On April 16, 1998 Judge Veronica B. Mathein held a hearing based on her void order of March 10, 1998.
Judge Veronica B. Mathein knows that an order based on a void is void.
Judge Veronica B. Mathein then issued another void order. Apparently Judge Veronica B. Mathein has never learned what constitutes a valid order.
Judge Veronica B. Mathein engaged in unlawful and unethical activity.
Secret hearings, without notice to all parties, violates the Supreme Law of the Land and the Supreme Law of Illinois.
Ex-parte hearings violate Rule 63(A)(3) of the Code of Judicial Conduct, the law, and the public policy of the State of Illinois.
Further, at no time did Judge Veronica B. Mathein ever hold subject-matter jurisdiction. All of her actions were without lawful authority and in violation of the law.
All of the above facts can be found in the court record of 91-D-5122 filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
